Happy Sunday Yogis and Dogis!

I'm teaching a doga class for this super fun event next weekend! If you are in the Huntington Beach area come by!

Some announcements:

I’ll be taking a break from teaching (except for the forementioned Surf City dog event) for about 3 weeks.  Barking Buddha Doga classes will resume in mid-October.

Also, I’ve given up the studio to focus on Barking Buddha Doga, teaching seminars and my writing. For those of you with studio memberships, I will honor those at my new teaching location.

I’m looking at a couple of places to teach doga in West Seattle as well as other areas in the city, and I will continue my monthly classes at The Seattle Humane Society.  Check back here for updates.

Thank you for your continued support and love,

Brenda, Gus and Nelson.

Ahoy Yogis and Dogis!

Gus and I got to help out on the City Dog Magazine dog cruise from downtown Seattle to Blake Island.  Here are some pics from Bailey and Banjo:  (www.baileyandbanjo.com)

Me,Gus and Brandie(City Dog Mag editor) greet the guests as they arrive on the boat. I made Brandie wear a sailor hat.

The dogs got their photos taken before boarding the boat.

It was a beautiful day to cruise across the sound to Blake Island.

The people got complimentary champagne.

The dogs got complimentary treats, served on trays.

Dexter, one of my doga students was on the boat with his peeps.

Chill time on the boat.

Our boat, The Lady Mary, arrives at Blake Island.

Blake Island has hiking trails and beautiful beaches. This guy found a perfect way to cool off.

The humans got a salmon lunch, the dogs got gourmet box lunches. Gus ate everything but the peas.

On the island with Gus and Brandie.

Boarding the boat to head back to Seattle.

Our Captain Karen and crew Angelina

I have a few more pics from the ride home that I’ll share later.

This weekend is Barking Buddha Doga Teacher Training!  Come to class on Saturday and meet the trainees, they’ll all be attending class.

Wags and Woofs,

Brenda, Gus, Nelson

R.I.P. Kiah

One thing about teaching Doga that I will never get used to is that sometimes my students pass away. Kiah began attending class with her brother, Reagan and her people Mitch and Nancy.  She and Reagan had to do class in different areas of the room because if they were next to each other they would want to play.  Kiah will be missed by all of us in Doga class.
