Saturday Doga at Westside

Inner Dog Mudra

Laura and Wriggley are pictured above with Zuri’s  head peeking up from the corner.  Laura says she does this with Wriggley to calm him,  but they were, without realizing it doing the Inner Doga Mudra.  A Mudra in people yoga is a way to redirect prana, chi, energy, whatever you want to call it in a conscience manner… the most famous people yoga mudra is probably the one in which we connect the index finger to the thumb.

In Doga we include our dogis in the mudras.  Inner Dog Mudra directs our conscienceness to the natural and simple wisdom of our dogis…and it looks and feels very sweet and comforting.

Have a terrific day and if you try Inner Dog Mudra, let me know how it goes!

I didn’t realize that I was doing an Inner Dog Mudra all of this time with my dog! It’s a great way to start the day.
